Really like 萧敬腾's rendition of this 那英 song! There is another feel to this song! (: maybe a more "gentle" kind of touch to it, to have it sang by JAM.

Had a great service with Pastor Kong on Saturday amid missing the whole praise cos we were stucked in the Jam outside at the traffic lights cos of the Sitex Fair that was taking place at Expo. Was told about the great service at S1 so was really looking forward to it.

I think we are really at this theshold where we are trying so hard to breakthrough but the whole mometum was just not there and we seems to be stucked at the bottleneck, struggling and feeling that everything is so hard-going. We needed a fresh word from God and we needed a fresh touch and I guess that was it.

After Pastor Kong laid hands on the leaders, I was reminded of the story of Abraham in the Bible, there was this part where the Lord was speaking to Abraham after LOT had departed from him.

~Genesis 13: 14-17
And the LORD said to Abram, after Lot had separated from him: "Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are— northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered. Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you."

First, there was the mention of the directions and then God asked Abraham to walk the length and the width. Realise that there are 2 steps in the dream that God can give to us, first, there is first the giving to the dream, as you visualise and dream, that has been established, however, there is also a second part to it, there is a taking action part. Before the promises can be given to you, you got to first begin to do the work, you gotta be willing to take up the plough to work hard for your dream and vision!

It is always a partnership between us and God, unless God build the House, those who labour shall labour in vain, while James 4 tells us that "you do not have because you do not ask"
More than just doing it yourself, there is a need to engage the Holy Spirit to be a partner in our lives and be the guiding light for us.

Reading Pastor Phil's Leadership Excellence, today's read was abut having a good self-image and one of the things that he mentioned that really jump out is that we need to be products of our future rather than products of our past, and how we are going to begin to do that is by behaving in e way we see ourselves in e future!

If you look at yourself in the mirror, who does that girl or that guy see. Who is the person that you see in the mirror? The thing is that, untiol you think that you are worthy to receive what you are asking for, it will not be given to you. Think about it, it you dont think that you are worthy to receive, why shld it be given to you, it shld be given to someone who is worthy.

My Eyes are barely open now but just want to finish up with this.

Recent few years begin to struggle with something that I used to struggle with when I was young and in fact this was sth that followed me through even till now. Coming from a single parent family, assurance has always been important to me. But I always have this thought that I am never good enough. Self-esteem always been an issue, about my background and about the way that I look, can I be taller and slimmer etc. The thing that Pastor mentioned, you become the person that you see yourself to be, who are you seeing yourself to be now? What are the dreams that you are visualizing and believing for? Instead of just talking about it and hoping that you will obtain the promises, play a part in doing that, think about how it is like to have what you ask for! You got to know that you are worthy and ready to receive before it is given! (:

Human are negative in nature, we pray and something dont think that God will give it to us- then what is the point of praying? Pray BELIEVING! and God will make things happen for us!!!
